Zenit Game

I was so excited to be going to my first professional soccer game but was a little nervous about sitting in an open stadium when it was below freezing outside. Earlier in the day we had meet Zhenya, a Babson Alumnus and the marketing manager for Zenit Football. He told us about the different revenue streams for Zenit and how he came into the position. We headed to the game together and the security was insane. There might have been just as much security at the stadium as there is at the White House. We had to walk through a metal detector at the stadium entrance, get a fully body search, have our bags checked and then repeat the whole process when we got to each gate entrance. In the stadium, each aisle was also lined with security guards and I was curious as to why there was so much security. I was a little restless, and bored, and cold, so I did not watch that much of the game and instead played some games, walked around and met new people. The game was fun but as soon as it began snowing Victoria and I were outta there and made our way back to the warmth of our hotel. photo 1 photo 2 photo 3 photo 4 photo 5
