Family Trip to Amagansett

Last week was the first time I have seen my entire mother’s side of the family together since Christmas. I was very excited to catch up with everyone and learn about what has happened in their lives since my departure. My grandparents rented condo’s for us to stay in at Windward Shores in Amagansett. When we arrived the weather was pretty poor so we enjoyed lunch together;  then looking for something to do we stumbled upon the idea of playing Catch Phrase. At first none of the adults were to eager to play but after some convincing we got them on board. Quickly everyone turned from being disinterested to very competitive and we all had a blast. The weather did not improve much all weekend and mostly consisted of us playing corn hole, Frisbee, reading and chatting wrapped in sweatshirts under the clouds on the beach. Although we did not do much tanning, this meant I had more time to explore on the beach and practice my photography.

We enjoyed a delicious meal at my favorite Montauk restaurant Duryea’s Lobster Deck, known for the freshest seafood and the greatest lobster roll I have ever had. We also ate at Gosman’s Dock, another great seafood restaurant and Harvest on Fort Pond, a family style restaurant. Despite the weather, the long weekend together was great and everyone had a wonderful time!
